January 15, 2018 -- Employees at the Naval Power Systems facilities in Danbury and Bridgeport, Conn., donated new or gently used blankets in December as well as “bedtime bags” to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for children in need.

January 9, 2018 -- Employees of DRS Technologies Canada Ltd. raised $1,700 for the benefit of Movember, the only global charity concentrating exclusively on the health of men.

November 6, 2017 -- Around the company, $25,000 was donated by our employees to various hurricane- charities. Leonardo DRS also established an initiative to help support those affected by providing a company match campaign to equal the amount of employee donations.

November 3, 2017 -- The U.S. Air Force has sent Tunner and Halvorsen aircraft cargo loaders to Puerto Rico in support of recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, which struck the Caribbean island and U.S. territory in early October.

October 16, 2017 -- Michael Topliff and his son, Hayden, employees of Leonardo DRS Land Systems in West Plains, Mo., were time travelers in spirit recently when they participated in an event commemorating the 343 firefighters who died Sept. 11, 2001, in the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

September 20, 2017 -- Leonardo DRS contributed expertise and support of airborne mission networking equipment to a daring rescue by U.S. Air Force personnel of two German nationals whose sailboat had caught fire 500 nautical miles off the coast of Florida.

September 11, 2017 -- This year Leonardo DRS was again proud to continue to support the National Guard Educational Foundation’s Leonardo DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund. At this year’s National Guard annual convention in Louisville, Kentucky, Vice President of Land Warfare Programs, Wayne Sauer, handed over a check for $35,000 to the Foundation.

March 31, 2017 -- The Leonardo DRS facility in Dayton, Ohio, has donated $450 to the adjacent Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to cover the cost of vouchers for the purchase of “Daddy Dolls” for local families with loved ones preparing for deployment.
