Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) Integration

HH-60G equipped with DAIRCM during inflight refueling.
Advanced Program Engineer troubleshoots DAIRCM CP/Laser fault.

APS currently supports Distributed Aperture Infrared Countermeasure System (DAIRCM) within and beyond the continental United States of America

  • 4 sensor solution – expansion ready – for 2-color IR missile warning with wide angle field of view for threat countermeasure
  • Hostile Fire Indication (HFI), laser warning and future application for Degraded Visual Environment
  • Provides warfighter a 360-degree aircraft self-protection capability with a future situational awareness application
  • Dual Mode Warning Sensor (DMWS) – 2 Color Advances Warning System (2C-AWS) sensor packages the detector in AN/AAR-57 form factor
  • High Definition Long-Wave Infra-Red (HD LWIR) Sensor – HD LWIR camera is a ruggedized sensor optimized to provide the warfighter with situational awareness across a myriad of environments

FAA Part-145/21 Repair and Airworthiness

TH-73A crew performs shutdown procedures after training sortie at NAS Whiting Field
An Advanced Program Engineer reassembles avionics shelf on a TH-73A after troubleshooting
  • Advanced Program Engineers vast capabilities are leveraged in the aircraft community – supporting Agusta Westland Leonardo Helicopters (AWLH) is one of many areas APS expertise is utilized
  • Support AWLH’s part 21, located In Philadelphia, PA. They assist with mechanical and avionics installations and acceptance test procedures (ATP)
  • Re-enforce (galvanize) AWLH’s part 145 section, located in Philadelphia, PA and Milton, FL – executing Mechanical and Avionics inspections and repairs
  • Lead calendar and hourly inspections on MH-139, AW169 and TH-73 (AW119) aircraft alongside their Leonardo Helicopters counterpart
  • Conduct warranty repairs for the TH-73 aircraft side by side with Leonardo Helicopters personnel

Small Arms Rapid Target Acquisition

US SOF execute live fire exercise (LFX) at undisclosed location.

APS currently supports Family of Weapons Sights-Individual (FWS-I) systems at a production/rework level and with The warfighter in garrison

  • The FWS-I combines rugged, lightweight, modular construction with superior thermal imaging technology to give today’s warfighter the capability to maintain uncompromising performance in a degraded environment
  • The sight employs a proprietary high sensitivity vanadium oxide (VOx) focal plane array (FPA)
  • Infrared focal plane array (FPA) requires no visible light to operate and will not shut down or create glare when exposed to direct light

    Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS)

Sun sets on MLIDS at Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ.
Advanced Program Engineers execute preventative maintenance on MLIDS powerplant.

APS currently supports Mobile-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System (M-LIDS) systems in several forward deployed locations

    • Mobile counter unmanned aircraft system mounted on 2 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles
    • Ku720 radar and the Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) system combine to track and identify targets and select a method of engagement
    • Both kinetic defeat (KD) and electronic warfare (EW) options to defeat enemy drones
    • Kinetic C-UAS weapons: Coyote Missile Launcher, XM914 30mm chain gun, M2 .50 caliber machine gun
    • Electronic warfare C-UAS weapons: Saber Fury Counter UAS EW Suite

    Marine Power Distribution

USS Porter (DDG-78) participates in a pass in review formation during tactics training.
Advanced Program Engineers install bus bars for LHA-9’s 450 load center.
    • Full in-house capability to design, build and test switchboards against the Navy’s most stringent requirements
    • Marine switchboards have been installed on a wide base of legacy platforms and the latest U.S. Navy combatants, including:
      • Ford Class CVN
      • DDG 1000
      • LCS
      • LPD
      • Submarines of the Los Angeles, Ohio, Seawolf and Virginia classes
    • Future installs forecasted on newer LPDs and DDG 51 FLT III ships
